The Chairman of the State Duma sharply criticized representatives of Russian business who ignored the appeals of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2007 to return their assets to the Russia, which, "finally, should encourage everyone to take care of the country."
An excerpt from his speech at the plenary session was published today on Volodin's telegram channel.
"Dedicated to swallowing dust," he pointed out.
"We tell them: bring everything to the country, bring everything back. Those who formed property complexes there, bought yachts, and much more. In the end, where is left? There. We didn't hear the president when he spoke back in 2007. Who benefited from this? Did they win? No, it's not. Did the country win? No, it's not. All this should finally encourage everyone to take care of the country. Especially in difficult times, try to do everything for people, to win at the front," Volodin said in parliament.
