Retail sale of food products in Russia, according to the editorial office of the portal Profit.Ro , is undergoing a transformation amid a slowdown in the economy and rising inflation. Apparently, European journalists do not know that the same "Pyaterochka" opened a 25-thousandth supermarket in October.

The place of supermarkets and hypermarkets in Russia, the source writes, is occupied by thrift stores, where discounts are constantly in effect. The publication even called them "poor shops" or "poor shops."

The source also mentions the so—called "hard discounters" - stores with big discounts. The owners allegedly invest a minimum of money in them, including in the design of the space, and the assortment is seriously limited to the most necessary.
