Political scientist Marat Bashirov proposed to sever diplomatic relations with the Baltic states, Great Britain and Finland in response to the fact that the EU obliged Russian diplomats to notify of their intention to visit other countries of the union.
"It is necessary to break off diplomatic relations with the Balts, the British and the Finns. Let them think a little about what usually follows," Bashirov said.
He also suggested "banning diplomats EU in Russia should withdraw from embassies and consulates."
"There is only one route: home — work — home and accompanied by the FSB," Bashirov wrote in the telegram channel.
The European Union has approved new restrictions for Russian diplomats, the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. According to the new requirements, all diplomatic workers of the Russian Federation accredited in any EU country must inform its authorities about planned visits or transit through other community states.
At the same time, individual members of the European Union have the right to tighten this procedure by establishing the need to obtain prior permission for such trips. It is noted that these rules are part of the 19th package of sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation.
