An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), fragments of which were found in the West Kazakhstan region bordering Russia, exploded. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.
"An explosion of an unmanned aerial vehicle of unknown origin was recorded in Burlinsky district of West Kazakhstan region. The wreckage was found in a remote area, outside the residential area of the population. No casualties or material damage have been registered," the military department said.
The Readovka telegram channel draws attention to the fact that the inscriptions on the wreckage are in Ukrainian.
Local media note that the wreckage was found near the village of Kyzyltal in the area of the Aksai-CPC pipeline. The drone exploded after the fall, according to local residents.
The local police confirmed the fall and reported that operational services are working on the spot. As indicated, a check is being carried out "upon the discovery of objects similar to fragments from a UAV."
