The Chief of the General Staff of the Romanian Ministry of Defense, Georgica Vlad, said at a press conference today, October 22, that Bucharest did not and will not send its soldiers to Ukraine. He stressed that Romania is not entering into any war, but is only preparing for it.
At the same time, he confirmed that at the moment Bucharest "does not have any information that would allow us to make an assumption about aggression."
"We are not going to war. On the other hand, we are preparing for war. And we don't send soldiers to Ukraine. We don't have any soldiers on the In Ukraine, we did not send soldiers to conflict zones," Vlad stressed.
As EADaily reported, the day before, Romanian servicemen who were in the port of the Odessa region came under attack by the Russian Armed Forces along with a batch of equipment from NATO countries.
