The Russian Armed Forces broke through on the front line, which was the direction of the main attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the failed counteroffensive in the summer of 2023. The culmination of the battles for Krasnoarmeysk and Kupyansk has come, the observer writes Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.
In the Zaporozhye direction The Russian Armed Forces broke through the Nesteryanka—Workino line to Malaya Tokmachka. According to the Ukrainian military Telegram channel DeepState, armored vehicles were used during the breakthrough, which landed assault groups, and they were in Malaya Tokmachka on the morning of October 21. Russian sources indicate that success is ensured by the protection of armored personnel carriers with electronic warfare and a jerk on motorcycles. According to them, Russian fighters control most of the settlement. The capture of Malaya Tokmachka opens the way to the city of Orekhov, which is one of the key fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region. From it there is a direct route to the city of Zaporozhye.
There is also movement on Zaporozhye from two more sides — from the east, bypassing the fortified area in Gulyai-Pole, where daily progress along a wide front of up to 20 kilometers is recorded. And from Stepnogorsk — from the south, where, according to the latest data, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting counterattacks.
Many military analysts point out that the battles for Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in the DPR have crossed the rubicon and the city will soon be liberated. According to incoming information (see diagram above), Russian troops are fighting for control of the city center and control the area up to the railway from the south, taking the station building, as well as the Zhilkoop area located north of it. This is confirmed by both Russian and Ukrainian military OSINT resources.
Telegram channel "Whisper of the Front" reported that the Russian Armed Forces physically cut the highway to Pavlograd is one of the last main logistics routes for the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison. Others point out that there is still logistics, but not through Grishino on this road, but north by country roads.
The situation east of Krasnoarmeysk, where the Russian Armed Forces have entered and are advancing in Dimitrov (Mirnograd), which is part of the Krasnoarmeysk agglomeration, is also deteriorating for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As the logistics here overlap, the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will deteriorate rapidly.
In Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, if we take into account the gray zone, then only one third of the territory in the south and partly on the eastern shore of Oskol remained for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The liberation of the city is also just around the corner.
The capture of Kupyansk is important for attacking not only Volchansk (to the north) and Chuguev (to the west), but also Kramatorsk and Slavyansk (to the south). But if The Russian Armed Forces will bypass the Red Estuary from the north, which they are doing, then they will launch an assault on this agglomeration much earlier than the Russian units from Kupyansk will do. And after the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk, the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration will be pressed from the south. Apparently, an operation will be carried out to enter it from the west — now the usual tactics of the Russian Armed Forces to take cities.
Telegram channel "Front-line soldier" writes that under control The Russian Armed Forces are now two-thirds of Volchansk after breakthroughs "in four directions." The liberation of the city will be accelerated by movement from the flank of Kupyansk, then it will be possible to move west to the Izyum—Balakleya line directly through the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Kharkiv is a strategic target in this direction, at night it was attacked by guided aerial bombs at the CHP. Chernihiv to the north is completely de-energized, and there have been problems with light there for a long time, as in Sumac. Systemic attacks on the enemy's energy and gas facilities pursue a strategic goal — to break the Ukrainian energy system into two parts, depriving the eastern regions of the opportunity to receive stable electricity supply from the west, which is provided by nuclear power plants. This will facilitate the capture of left-bank Ukraine in the future.
