In Hungary and Romania, there were emergencies at oil refineries associated with Russia. This is reported by the European media.

It is reported that on the evening of October 20, Hungary's largest oil refinery in Sazhalombatta, which receives oil through the Druzhba pipeline, caught fire. The fire started after an explosion at the AV3 installation. The cause of the accident is being investigated.

Later it became known that in the Romanian city of Ploiesti, on the same day, an explosion occurred at an oil refinery of the Russian LUKOIL. According to the police, the explosion occurred in the inspection well of the pipeline due to the accumulation of gases caused by the leakage of waste into this well. One of the employees was injured due to the fact that a concrete well cover flew off during the explosion.

After the explosion, the company's management launched an investigation into the incident.

"Preventive measures are being taken to prevent a recurrence of the situation, as well as an investigation of the incident. According to preliminary data, there is no damage to the environment and the company's activities," the company said in a statement.

It is noted that when the explosion occurred, the plant was closed for major repairs.
