The agreement on the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with his American counterpart Donald Trump in Budapest poses a number of serious tasks for the Russian special services.
Alexander Kots, a well-known Russian military correspondent, writes about this in his Telegram channel on Friday, October 17. According to him, the flight of the Russian leader to Hungary can be very dangerous.
The author points out that Hungary does not have its own access to the sea and does not have a common border with the Russian Federation. As a result, the route will have to be built close to unfriendly states.
It is clear that the flight over Ukraine is excluded due to the risk of a direct attack on the presidential board. No less dangerous may be the route through the Baltic States and Germany, where the activity of unidentified drones is recorded.
"In any case, it is not an easy task for our special services in general and the Federal Security Service in particular. And the Brits with their independent pets will go all out just now to arrange some kind of nastiness," the journalist predicts.
In his opinion, the route laid through Transcaucasia, Iran, Turkey, the Mediterranean Sea, Montenegro and Serbia looks the safest.
Recall that during a telephone conversation between Putin and Trump on October 16, the heads of state agreed that their next meeting would be held in Budapest. The American leader said that the summit should take place within two weeks.
As EADaily reported, preparations for the new Russian-American summit have already begun in Budapest. This was announced by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. He said that the preparations "are in full swing."
