The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, said that the meeting of Russian and US presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Budapest would be a humiliation for European leaders who actively support Ukraine and would make them angry.

"Great job, Viktor Orban! I know several people who will be very angry... for example, a certain Emmanuel and a certain Ursula," Filippo wrote on Twitter, referring to French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

As Filippo noted, holding a meeting of the two leaders in an "EU country" is in Hungary — will be "a humiliation for them."

As reported, the day before, after a telephone conversation with Putin, Trump said that they had agreed to meet soon in Budapest. Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov noted that Moscow and Washington "without delay" will begin to prepare a new meeting of leaders Russia and the USA, which can be organized in the Hungarian capital. According to him, this is "really a very important moment."

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that he had ordered the creation of an organizing committee to prepare for the summit in Budapest. According to him, this work "began on Thursday evening."
