The Supreme Court did not show leniency to two Russians who had previously been sentenced to 19 years in prison each for trying to disrupt the mobilization.
In April 2023, the Central District Military Court sentenced Roman Nasryev* and Alexei Nureyev* to 19 years in prison for a terrorist attack and training in terrorist activities. The lawyers tried to challenge the case in the Supreme Court. However, he refused.
"According to the investigation and the state prosecution, the defendants, having gained practical skills in the manufacture and use of homemade incendiary devices, used them to attack the Bakal administration building. The crime was committed in order to destabilize the activities of the authorities, destroy property and documents and create a danger of death of a person who was in the watchman's room,"Kommersant reports.
The publication cites the conclusions of the judges that the defendants believed that the personal files of the persons subject to mobilization, who wanted to be destroyed, were kept in the building of the city administration.
"The action was not spontaneous. The defendants purchased components for the manufacture of an incendiary mixture. We tested it, changed the composition, practiced throwing bottles with a Molotov cocktail. On October 10, 2022, having made another portion of the mixture, which was filled with three bottles, the terrorists put on balaclavas to conceal their faces. Avoiding the surveillance cameras, Roman Nasryev* and Alexey Nureyev* approached the administration building at about two o'clock in the morning, smashed the glass of one of the windows on the ground floor with a stone and alternately threw incendiary devices inside the building. One bottle crashed against the wall outside and did not ignite," the publication continues.
The representative of the military enlistment office confirmed in the testimony that in the administration building there is a military registration desk of the military commissariat, which carried out activities related to partial mobilization, as well as a file of persons in reserve.
