Deliveries of Tomahawk missiles to Kiev will destroy the emerging positive trends in relations with the United States. This was announced today, October 5, again by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Rossiya 1 journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Earlier, speaking at the plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club, Putin said that Kiev's use of Tomahawk missiles would damage relations between Russia and the United States, since it would be impossible to use these missiles in Ukraine without the direct participation of American military personnel.
This time he repeated the warning:
"There were issues related, for example, to the discussion of problems with the supply of new weapons systems, including long-range systems, high accuracy. "Tomahawks" and so on. I have already said that this will lead to the destruction of our relations, in any case, the emerging positive trends in these relations."
At the same time, Putin stressed that at the Valdai plenary session he honestly stated the essence of the issues, and how Western countries reacted to this was their business.
As EADaily reported, two weeks ago Vladimir Putin said that although the Strategic Offensive Arms Reduction Treaty (START Treaty) expires on February 5, Russia is ready to continue to adhere to the START Treaty conditions for a year after this date.
