The United States has the most powerful army and navy in the world, ahead of Russia and China. This was announced today, September 30, by US President Donald Trump at an "epochal" meeting of generals and admirals at the Quantico Marine Corps base.
Before the start of the speech, Trump threatened to "fire on the spot" US military commanders if he did not like them:
"Today I will meet with military commanders. If I don't like them, I'll fire them on the spot."
Then he began to brag about the power of the American navy:
"We are ahead of Russia and China in submarines by 25 years, Russia is in second place, China is in third, but they are catching up — in five years they will be on a par — they are catching up."
He added that he had ordered the deployment of "a submarine or two" off the coast of Russia, "it just lay low." Moreover, the United States will soon modernize its nuclear arsenal.
"We have to hope that we will never have to use it," the US president said.
Talking about the "settlement" of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict by him, Trump again forgot the name of the country and the name of Nikol Pashinyan:
"The head of Azerbaijan and another guy."
After that, Trump again announced his desire to organize a meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war.
"We will have only one thing left to do — to resolve the situation with President Putin and Zelensky. We will gather them together and solve everything. But this can only be done from a position of strength. If we were weak, they wouldn't even take my call. But we have a huge force," the US president said.
Having "finished" with the Ukrainian conflict, Trump moved on to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, about the settlement of which he presented a peace plan earlier. Trump said that he would give Hamas 3-4 days to respond, otherwise he would allow Israel to fight him to complete destruction.
"Hamas will either do it or it won't. And if not, then it will be a very sad end," Trump said, adding that Israel, all Arab and Muslim countries agreed with his plan.
He explained that Israel can quite easily put an end to Hamas, which has already paid a huge price for its terrorist attacks on October 7.
"You know, we killed about 25,000 Hamas militants. So, of course, they paid a big price for October 7th. And this is a completely new band. You know, they come and they come, and they keep coming. But this is a completely different group. And their leadership was killed three times. Therefore, they paid a big price. We hope that they will have a good, peaceful life. It may not happen. But if it happens, it will be one of the best things that has ever happened: we will have real peace in the Middle East," Trump said.
