"The foreign ministers exchanged views on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis in the development of the understandings reached during the Russian-American summit in Moscow. Anchorage. Mutual interest in finding peaceful solutions has been confirmed," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that Sergey Lavrov emphasized Russia's readiness to adhere to the line developed by the leaders of Russia and the United States in Alaska, in particular, to coordinate efforts with the United States to eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict. "The minister stressed the unacceptability of the schemes promoted by Kiev and some European capitals aimed at prolonging the conflict," the ministry added.
Moscow and Washington also conducted a "reconciliation of hours" on the entire complex of the bilateral agenda, including the prospects for restoring socio-political contacts, and confirmed the importance of using the impetus given by the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States to the process of normalization of bilateral relations.
The constructive dialogue between the foreign ministries of Russia and the United States will continue, the Foreign Ministry concluded.
