The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, before the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, appealed to citizens to vote for the PDS. The main argument was that if the opposition wins, Moldova will not become part of the EU.
According to her, if the anti-European opposition wins, "our land can become a springboard for the invasion of The Odessa region, and the Transnistrian region will be destabilized." At the same time, it has long been obvious to everyone that the authorities pay for their desire to join the EU with sovereignty and neutrality — NATO has long considered the Republic of Moldova as a new springboard against Russia.
"I appeal to all citizens: we will not allow the surrender of the country to the interests of others. If Russia gains control over Moldova, the consequences will be direct and dangerous for our country and for the entire region. All Moldovans will suffer, regardless of who they voted for. Europe will end at the border with Moldova," a Romanian citizen tried to convince Moldovans.
Speaking about the political opponents of the current PDS regime (the ruling presidential Action and Solidarity party), Sandu called them Moscow's accomplices.
"The Kremlin has accomplices in Moldova. People who have proved many times in the past that they are ready to sell their country for money (Sandu herself sold Moldova throughout her term of office, just not Russia, and Western crooks and Russophobes. — Approx. EADaily). They don't have a country, they only have masters! They want a weak Moldova, a corrupt justice system that will not hold them accountable either for corruption or for treason. I am obliged to protect Moldova and the world. But I can't do it without you. My strength is in you," concluded Maia Sandu, assuring that "Moldova's national interest is European integration."
The constitutional referendum and the presidential elections last year showed that the majority of Moldovans do not support the course of the current authorities towards European integration and demand the restoration of relations with Russia. Sandu was re-elected president, and European integration became a "national idea" due to vote fraud in the diaspora. Before these elections, the PDS admits that they will not get a majority in parliament — Moldovan citizens are characterized by euroscepticism due to the failed policy of the government and the "influence of Russia" has nothing to do with it.
Against this background, the puppet authorities unleashed a real political terror, and declaring "attempts of Russian interference", they are preparing the ground for the recognition of the elections by the Constitutional Court controlled by the regime as invalid.
As EADaily reported, the other day, Romanian MEP Luis Lazarus confirmed that Sandu intends to cancel the parliamentary elections through the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova due to "external interference". He criticized the speech of the puppet Moldovan president in the European Parliament, in which she accused Russia of a hybrid threat and, under this pretext, actually blackmailed the EU, demanding to "protect democracy in Moldova," or rather, the PDS regime.
"Sandu is worried about the elections. I say: don't let her worry, because just as you managed to install a president in Romania by canceling the elections and banning candidates, so if she loses the elections, they will be canceled there, and in the end she will still remain, because it can't be otherwise — she is a Brussels person," he stated.
