Germany is preparing to receive a thousand wounded soldiers a day. This was stated by the chief military doctor of Germany, Ralf Hoffman.
According to Reuters, European armies have stepped up preparations for a potential conflict with Russia, including adapting medical training to the new realities of the battlefield. According to Ralph Hoffman, "in a realistic scenario, thousands of people could be injured every day." He noted that the nature of the fighting on the Ukraine has changed radically, and now injuries caused by explosions and burns resulting from the use of drones and precision weapons, rather than gunshot wounds, prevail.
Germany is not the only country preparing to receive thousands of wounded soldiers. In France, a letter from the Ministry of Health has been published stating that medical institutions should be ready to receive up to 10 000 — 15 000 wounded soldiers — both French and Allied — and provide them with care for 180 days. The new recommendations also provide for the establishment of medical facilities at ports and airports to ensure the rapid transportation of the wounded.
