They tried to import a batch of drones from Kazakhstan to Russia, the cargo was sent to Bashkiria. This is reported by the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
The drones were discovered by Samara customs officers when checking the Gazelle car. There were 34 UAVs in disassembled form and one DJI Mavic quadcopter with a remote control.
"The vehicle arrived from Kazakhstan and was stopped by employees of the mobile group near the MAPP "Sagarchin". During his inspection, FPV drones were identified... equipped with cameras for real-time image transmission, disassembled, as well as two Key-Fortune FPV wings. There was no information about the UAV in the shipping documents," the department's telegram channel says.
The accompanying cargo told customs officers that the UAVs belonged to him, he supposedly uses them for personal video shooting. However, as noted in the FCS, "drones in such numbers cannot be intended for personal purposes and pose a potential threat to the safety of life and health of citizens."
According to the results of preliminary consultation with the expert, it was established that two devices are aircraft—type drones and are adapted to move cargo weighing up to 5 kg, one is reconnaissance-type, and the kits make it possible to assemble 32 small-sized drones, the design of which involves dumping cargo.
It is noted that the goods are detained, the issue of the appointment of an expert examination is being resolved.
As EADaily reported, a fire occurred on the territory of the Novo-Ufa Novoil oil refinery after an attack by aircraft-type drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov in his telegram channel.
We also remind that in neighboring Tatarstan there is a plant for the production of UAV "Geran", it is located in Yelabuga.
