Russian oil has risen in price due to fears of lower supplies. According to Reuters, the APU drone attacks on terminals and oil pipelines in Russia is playing for a rise in price.

"The discount on Urals crude oil with October loading decreased to $2-$2.50 per barrel to dated Brent. The decrease amounted to $ 0.5-$ 1, " the agency reports, citing sources.

Reuters noted that prices are rising despite the tightening of sanctions against Russia by the EU, as the market fears the consequences of drone attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on terminals and oil pipelines in Russia.

At the same time, according to the agency, the cost of tanker freight from the Baltic ports of Russia to India has increased — from $ 5.5-$ 6 million in September to $ 6.5-$7 million.

The increase in oil prices approximately compensates for the increase in transportation costs.

As EADaily reported, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen promised additional sanctions against tankers transporting Russian oil. The number of vessels under restrictions will increase from 560 tankers by another 118.

Brussels also says it will ban any transactions with Rosneft and Gazprom Neft and impose restrictions on individual refineries and intermediaries, including in China.

At the same time, the European Union says nothing about sanctions against India, which Donald Trump is calling for. Brussels plans to sign a free trade agreement with Delhi by the end of the year.
