The initiative of People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov to include Alla Pugacheva's songs in the school curriculum is not surprising, but it is best described by a quote from Alexander Griboyedov's comedy "Woe from Wit." This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, Alexander Sholokhov (United Russia).
"This is a fairly common practice when, offering to study the work of the great and famous, it concerns not only songs, but also literature, and many other areas, this code is often used. Several surnames are called, several unconditional names, and someone is attached to them according to the principle: "Well, how not to please a dear little man," the parliamentarian told the portal News.ru .
"In this case, literally," Sholokhov added.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Kirkorov named Valery Leontiev, Edita Piekha, Lev Leshchenko, Iosif Kobzon and Muslim Magomayev among the performers whose songs he would add to the school curriculum, in addition to Pugacheva.
