A strong earthquake occurred on the morning of September 15 in some areas of Bulgaria, as reported by the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The magnitude of the tremors was 3.4 points on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located 7.9 kilometers east of Slivena. The earthquake was located at a depth of 17 kilometers and was felt in the vicinity.
The authorities reported that no injuries or significant material damage have been recorded yet. The earthquake occurred about 290 kilometers from the capital, Sofia, and there is currently no information about its consequences.
Although the tremors were quite strong and felt by residents of the region, the situation remains calm, and the National Institute continues to closely monitor seismic activity.
