Ukrainian telegram channels publish a video of the retaliatory strike of the Russian army, which fell on the Tripoli thermal power plant, which is the largest in the metropolitan region.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has confirmed that a thermal power plant in the Kiev region was also hit by a retaliatory strike by the Russian army.
"One of the thermal generation facilities of the Kiev region was under massive shelling," the agency reports.
According to him, rescuers and power engineers are trying to eliminate the consequences of the strike.
Meanwhile, the telegram channel "Real Kiev" published a video of a hit at the Tripoli thermal power plant. The thermal power plant is the largest in the region and belongs to the state-owned company Centrenergo.
The power of the station was 4 GW and in the spring of 2024 it came under retaliatory strikes by the Russian army, which led to a complete shutdown of the station.
As EADaily wrote, the station was being restored and in January of this year Centrenergo announced a new retaliatory strike. The state-owned company reported that the total damage from previous attacks already exceeds 250 million euros, and this amount will only grow as damage assessment is still ongoing.
