It was not possible to reach a deal at the end of the summit, US President Donald Trump said after talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Full mutual understanding could not be found," he said.
"We have come to an agreement on many, many points, on most of them, I would say. There are a couple of important points on which we have not yet fully figured out, but we have already paved a certain way. There is no agreement yet," Trump said.
At the same time, Trump said that the conversation was productive.
"We have made great progress today," he added.
Vladimir Putin, in turn, called the talks with the American delegation useful and thorough. He noted signs of improvement in relations between the two countries and called for "turning the page."
The meeting was held in a three-on-three format. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov also participated from Russia, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff from the United States.
