American star, singer and producer Madonna (Madonna Louise Ciccone) on the birthday of her son Rocco made an open letter to the Pope. She published the appeal on her page on the social network.

"Please go to Gaza and bring your light to the children before it's too late," the singer writes.

She stressed that the pontiff is "the only one of us who cannot be denied entry."

She called for the opening of humanitarian corridors to save the lives of innocent children.

"There is no more time. Please tell me that you will go," Madonna concluded.

As EADaily reported, earlier The New York Times, in a joint study with genealogists, established that Pope Leo XIV has distant family ties with stars and politicians from the United States and Canada.

In particular, the pontiff is a distant relative of pop star Madonna (Madonna Louise Ciccone), singer Justin Bieber, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American writer and poet Jack Kerouac.

Madonna herself has always had a difficult relationship with the Catholic Church.

In 2022, she addressed Leo XIV's predecessor, Pope Francis.

"I was excommunicated from the Catholic Church three times. This is unfair," Madonna wrote to the pontiff, calling herself a "good Catholic."
