Those detained for a robbery with a pistol at the Russian Post office on Medikov Street in Moscow were charged. This was reported by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.

The crime was committed early in the morning on August 8 on Medikov Street. A 67-year-old man and a 28-year-old masked woman broke into the post office through the service entrance and stole more than 4.8 million rubles.

After that, the attackers fled in a taxi driven by an accomplice, but after a short time, with the coordinating role of the prosecutor's office, they were detained. In addition, their accomplices were identified and detained — two drivers, aged 48 and 52, who helped the defendants escape in cars from the crime scene, a 43-year-old woman who rented one of the foreign cars in her name and came with accomplices to the crime scene on the evening of August 7 to inspect the situation, was also in the car on the day of the robbery attacks, waiting for the perpetrators, indicates the supervisory authority.

"All the detainees have been charged under clauses "a, b" of part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed by an organized group on an especially large scale)," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

It is noted that the accused, who pleaded guilty, said that she came to Moscow from Syzran to earn money, and about 1.5 months ago I met other defendants in the criminal case. They began to discuss how to make money and decided to commit a robbery at the post office.

"The attackers developed a plan according to which two direct perpetrators of the crime entered the premises early in the morning of August 8 behind a post office employee, threatening with a pistol, stole more than 4.8 million rubles and disappeared. In the courtyards, they got into a Haval car driven by an accomplice, then transferred to a Kia and arrived in the Moscow region. The funds were divided among all the accomplices," the department said in details.

In the near future, the court, with the participation of the prosecutor, will consider the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention for all the accused.
