US President Donald Trump plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as early as next week, after which he intends to hold a trilateral meeting — already with the participation of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. It is reported by The New York Times, citing two sources.

Trump announced his intentions during today's telephone conversation with European leaders, sources said. According to them, only these three people will be present at the meetings, none of the Europeans will be there.

"The European leaders who tried to play a coordinating role in the meetings... seemed to agree with what Trump said, one of the sources said. It is unclear whether Putin or Zelensky agreed with the plan described by Trump,"the publication says.

It is noted that in addition to Zelensky, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as well as US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff took part in the telephone conversation.

As EADaily reported, during a conversation with US President Donald Trump, in which some European leaders also took part, the results of negotiations between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and special envoy Steven Witkoff were discussed. This was stated by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.

As EADaily reported, the meeting of Special Envoy Steve Witkoff with Russian President Vladimir Putin was very productive. This was stated on the Truth Social network by US leader Donald Trump. He noted that "great progress" has been made in the negotiations.

"There is progress, and positive forces will prevail," Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, commented on Trump's post.
