No one has political sovereignty . The European Union, neither There is no Ukraine at all now. This was announced today, August 1, by the Presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, answering journalists' questions after a meeting on Valaam Island.

Lukashenko commented on the situation with the Ukrainian law on anti-corruption agencies.

"And I'm watching this and I think: well, What did Zelensky want? He took billions, billions, hundreds of billions of money. The West says, well, we want to see where this money will be spent. And two days later, or after how long he said "no", two hours later the Rada canceled everything, he signed the law. What kind of sovereignty? No sovereignty. And there is no need to be indignant. You took the money, and the one who gave it wanted to control you, as a non-sovereign state, where you put the money. And where did you put it?" — Lukashenko explained.

After that, Vladimir Putin noted that the EU, which until recently was called an economic giant, does not have sovereignty either.

"These are not my words, I don't want to offend anyone, we ourselves have read it in Western sources. The loss of political sovereignty now leads to the loss of economic sovereignty, and to enormous losses. Therefore, one of the key tasks, including SMO tasks, is to strengthen Russia's sovereignty," the Russian president stressed. — Sovereignty plays a key role, including for economic development. It was clear that the European Union does not have so much sovereignty. Today it became obvious that it does not exist at all. And this is followed, in the critical situation that has happened, by economic losses."
