The next assessment of the International Monetary Fund "with amazing results" on Georgia is proof of why it is necessary to follow one's national interests and not someone else's instructions, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said, commenting on the IMF's conclusion.

According to Papuashvili, "the sharp economic stagnation of Moldova, obediently fulfilling all the demands of Brussels, and the economic miracle of Georgia, being attacked by Brussels, clearly demonstrate this."

"The joy of such success gives way to anger when you realize that we could have achieved twice as much if it hadn't been for the constant attempts from the outside to harm Georgia, if it hadn't been for the hatred and extremism fueled by donors, if it hadn't been for the attempts of NGOs to draw Georgia into escalation with Russia, if it hadn't been for internal actors acting in the interests of the outside, and the rootless, who hung other people's flags on themselves," Papuashvili wrote on the social network.

Earlier, the IMF published a conclusion in which it recorded the rates of high economic growth in Georgia.

"Georgia has demonstrated excellent resilience against the backdrop of increased internal and geopolitical uncertainty — thanks to high economic growth, inflation close to the target level, and moderate levels of public debt," the fund said in its conclusion.
