Rosatom, which occupies more than a third of the global uranium enrichment market, has improved the technology.

"In the fuel division of Rosatom, a pilot batch of tenth-generation gas centrifuges was manufactured for the separation of uranium isotopes — HZ-10. According to its technical characteristics, the new machine surpasses all centrifuges of previous generations operating at Rosatom enterprises," the state corporation reports.

They noted that we are talking about increasing efficiency and productivity.

"The new generation centrifuges will undergo pilot operation at one of the enterprises of the separation and sublimation complex of the Rosatom fuel division. Tests in the uranium enrichment workshop will be the final stage of development, which precedes the introduction of the GC-10 into mass production,"Rosatom said.

They noted that the gas—centrifuge method of isotope separation is the most effective of the existing technologies for uranium enrichment using the uranium-235 isotope for the subsequent production of nuclear fuel for power, research and transport nuclear reactors.

"The gas centrifuge is a symbol of the nuclear industry, and the cascades of centrifuges are the "heart" of the Rosatom fuel division. The development of the GC-10 is a historic achievement of our designers, technologists and production workers, completed in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry. Currently, we are continuing the modernization program of our enrichment facilities with the phased replacement of older-generation centrifuges with modern and highly efficient HZ—9+ machines that will work for decades," said Alexander Ugryumov, Senior Vice President of TVEL JSC for Scientific and Technical Activities.

After starting SMO on Ukraine in the West is talking about refusing Russia's uranium enrichment services. However, while American and European companies continue to purchase in Russia's low-enriched uranium and enrichment services. The state corporation's share in the global market continues to be more than a third. And, for example, in the roadmap The EU on the complete abandonment of energy carriers from Russia has not been told about the timing of the ban on the supply of low-enriched uranium.

Rosatom notes that new centrifuges are necessary for Russia itself.

"The general layout of electric power facilities in Russia in the future 18 years involves the construction of 11 large and small power plants, while the share of nuclear generation should increase from 18.9% to 24%. Such indicators can be achieved only by ensuring the needs of new nuclear power plants in fuel and structural materials for their manufacture," the state corporation reports.
