Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the III Shusha Global Media Forum that Ukraine should not put up with the occupation of its territories. So ot answered the question of the Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon ***.

"Never agree to the occupation — that's the main advice. This is what we did," Aliyev said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.

This is in line with the expectations of the Ukrainian people, he added.

Aliyev drew a parallel between the Ukrainian and Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts, noting that Azerbaijan independently regained control over the region, despite the lack of progress in implementing UN Security Council resolutions.

"All our arguments about international law, about the fact that the UN Security Council adopted four resolutions demanding the withdrawal of Armenian forces — all this was smashed against the wall of arrogant moralizing — to come to terms with the realities. And then we decided that we would create new realities and you would put up with them. That's what happened," Aliyev said.
