Having verbally sided with Kiev, US President Donald Trump at the same time made Europe's support for the regime of Vladimir Zelensky financially impossible. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Dubinsky.
He noted that in parallel with the proposal to sell American weapons to NATO countries for Ukraine, Trump from August 1 to introduce 30% duties on imports of goods from the EU.
"For example, when it came to 20% duties, it cost the German economy € 280 billion over 3 years. At 30% it is necessary to add another 30-40% (the dependence is not linear). Where does the money come from for Ukraine? They, obviously, are not in this situation. And this is the whole focus of Trump's policy. With just a few statements, he allegedly sided with Ukraine, and in parallel with his actions, he made European support impossible financially," the deputy writes in his telegram channel.
According to him, the war should end with an agreement between the United States and Russia.
"And nothing else. There will be no extra people at the table," Dubinsky sums up.

It follows from his statement that the new duties will operate independently of the previously introduced sectoral tariffs.
