The Czech Republic will not be among the countries that will purchase from The United States arms for Ukraine. This was stated by the country's Prime Minister Peter Fiala to Publico.
Prague will not participate in the project of US President Donald Trump, whose main driver should be Germany, the newspaper writes.
"The Czech Republic is focusing on other projects and ways to help Ukraine, for example through the ammunition initiative. Therefore, at the moment we are not considering the possibility of joining this project," Fiala said.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Germany, Great Britain, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and Canada. "They all want to participate in it. And this is only the first wave. There will be more of them. Within the framework of NATO systems, we will work to make sure which packages of weapons Ukrainians need," he said.
As reported by EADaily, the United States stops providing gratuitous financing of military assistance to Ukraine. This was stated on Fox News channel by US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker.
The times when the United States sent taxpayers' money to protect Ukraine without restrictions have come to an end, Whitaker stressed.
