Ukraine said it blew up a gas pipeline in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra, which feeds military production facilities in three Russian regions. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing a source.
"A gas pipeline with a capacity of 2.6 billion cubic meters per year was blown up on Thursday evening in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug of Russia, about 3,000 kilometers from Moscow, as part of a special operation, said a representative of the military intelligence of Ukraine familiar with the matter," the agency reports.
According to the source, natural gas is delivered via the pipeline to military production facilities in Orenburg, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk region.
It is noted that Bloomberg was unable to independently verify this statement.
According to Gazprom, almost 396 billion cubic meters of gas were shipped to domestic consumers through the Russian pipeline network last year, the agency notes.
