The director of the Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky and the artistic director of the Mikhailovsky Theater, Vladimir Kekhman, has an unpaid loan debt of 17.8 billion rubles. It is reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.
"Kekhman is in arrears on loan payments. The total amount exceeds 17.8 billion rubles," the source said.
According to the FSSP database (Federal Bailiff Service), eight enforcement proceedings have been opened against Kekhman, six of them are related to debt on loan payments, and two more are debt on the enforcement case.
As reported by EADaily, earlier the Fontanka newspaper reported that the security forces came with a search to the head of the Mikhailovsky Theater and the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, Vladimir Kekhman.
It was claimed that the central apparatus was working IC and economic security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the framework of a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement or appropriation on an especially large scale).
Later it became known that the entrance to the Moscow Art Theater is closed, investigative actions are being carried out in the building. A Rosgvardiya car is on duty next to the theater.
The theater troupe is currently almost in full force on tour in Novosibirsk together with the main director Galina Polishchuk, the team was not notified about the investigative measures in the theater building.
Kekhman himself was taken to the The Investigative Committee for questioning, he has no procedural status.
