The Supreme Court of Belarus granted the statement of the Prosecutor General of the republic Andrei Shved on the recognition of the opposition formation "United Transitional Cabinet" located outside the country as a terrorist organization and the prohibition of its activities and all structural units included in it. This was reported on July 9 in the Belarusian Prosecutor General's Office.
"The evidence presented to the court made it possible to conclude that there were elements of terrorist activity in the actions of the organizers and active participants of the so-called Cabinet. A number of members of the formation directly participated in the organization of acts of terrorism on the territory of Belarus," the statement said.
The Prosecutor General's Office noted that these circumstances are confirmed by the materials of criminal cases, including incitement of social hatred and discord, conspiracy to seize state power, the commission of many other grave and especially grave crimes for which the courts have passed guilty verdicts. The Ministry also warned that any participation in the activities of this terrorist organization, its financing or assistance to such activities — for example, through the recruitment of new members, training or training of persons for these purposes — entail criminal liability.
Recall that after the collapse of the coup attempt in 2020, part of the Belarusian opposition fled the country. Abroad, they have created a number of formations with the aim of destabilizing the situation in Belarus. The "United Transitional Cabinet" is one of the central structures of the fugitive Belarusian opposition.
