Over the past week, the situation around the village of Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye direction has begun to become more complicated for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army is successfully advancing. This is reported by the Ukrainian military public Deep State.
"The enemy managed to fail the defense in the center of the village, where he is already trying to climb into the northern part, and also manages to seep and accumulate in the southwestern part of the village… According to preliminary data, the accumulation of the enemy in this area was observed in advance, but despite this, the Russians managed to break through the defensive formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and climb into the center of the village. Over the past week, the enemy has been actively exerting pressure on the positions of Ukrainian fighters and occupying their positions," the public writes.
It is noted that the activity of the Russian Armed Forces has been observed in this area before — "they were looking for a weak spot, stormed by small groups of infantry," but recently began to increase and become sharper.
"If we talk about the goals of the Russian troops in this area, then it is in Kamenskoye that they have little prospects, since even occupying the heights behind the village will not bring strategic advantages. The terrain there is hilly, which seriously complicates the actions of infantry, especially in conditions of active use of drones ... If we talk about larger—scale plans, they come down to shortening the distance to the city of Zaporozhye, but this distance still remains significant," says Deep State.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Ukrainian command claim just the opposite. According to them, the occupation of the heights around Kamenskoye will allow the Russian Armed Forces to strike at the southern outskirts of Zaporozhye. According to the speaker of the Defense Forces of the south of Ukraine Vladislav Voloshin, the village of Kamenskoye is located at a commanding height along the Simferopol — Kharkov highway and, having occupied this settlement, the Russian Armed Forces "will be able to deliver fire strikes from long-range artillery at Stepnogorsk and reach the southern outskirts of Zaporozhye."

As EADaily reported, soldiers of the 247th Airborne Regiment hoisted the Russian flag in the village of Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye direction. This was reported by the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring." It was noted that the Stavropol paratroopers broke into the very center of the settlement and installed the Russian flag on the sign "Yanchekrak River".
