Europe is not suitable for the role of a world leader, claims of this kind on its part look ridiculous. The telegram channel "ZeRada" writes about this.

So TK commented on the statement by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, that Europe is rightfully proud of its role as the world's leading donor of humanitarian aid.

However, according to the telegram channel "Proof" with reference to Eurostat data, in 2024 about 93.3 million EU residents, or 21% of the population, remained at risk of poverty or social exclusion.

"Another one got sick with Trump syndrome. Everyone wants to be world leaders. But from the side of Europe, of course, it looks ridiculous. Do you remember the joke about idiots who took only second place in the idiot contest because they are idiots? So this is about Europe now. If they just want to be leaders in the world in exporting problems, then even that doesn't work out for them. The leaders are the United States," ZeRada notes.

As EADaily reported, the United States submitted a new proposal to the European Commission on a trade deal with the EU. This was reported by Reuters on June 26. EC President Ursula von der Leyen conveyed the American initiative to European leaders. According to the agency's source, one official called the US proposal an "outline" containing only a few points.
