Disneyland Paris (Marne-la-Valais) last Saturday, June 21, was rented for a private event. However, when the guests and the main figures of the alleged wedding gathered, the employees of the amusement park called the police, according to the portal Le Parisien.

The event was supposed to take place at dawn, as private events are organized outside the opening hours of the theme park. But when the bride arrived at the ceremony site, Disneyland employees realized that it was a child, and the event was immediately canceled by park representatives "after significant violations were identified."

"Law enforcement agencies were quickly notified and arrived at the scene as soon as possible. We are fully cooperating with the authorities during the investigation and have also filed a complaint with the relevant authorities," the Disneyland management said in a statement.

After the event, the 22-year-old groom, allegedly a Briton, the 41-year—old mother of a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl, as well as two Latvians aged 55 and 24, were detained and interrogated.

According to the statement of the Prosecutor's office of the city of Moscow, as a result of a medical examination, it was established that the minor citizen of Ukraine was not subjected to violence.

"The event itself turned out to be rigged, and the guests were extras," the prosecutor's office stressed.

That is, it was a "staged wedding with the participation of about a hundred extras."

According to a police source, the man, who introduced himself as the groom, said that this was the shooting of a film and that he was the director of a production company.

At the same time, eyewitnesses of the event, who were present in the park on the morning of June 21, did not know anything about the fact that the wedding was staged.

"There was no talk of shooting… We were shocked to see it," said one of the witnesses.

Currently, the alleged groom and one of the Latvian citizens remain in custody, they are suspected of fraud and money laundering.
