The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, criticized US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for his "demoralizing" statements about military support for Ukraine.
Zelya expressed his indignation in an interview with Newsmax TV channel, which was published on the Telegram channel of the overdue president. He said that Hegseth's statements about reducing arms supplies to Ukraine demoralize the country's citizens.
"These words of the US Secretary of Defense, they sometimes hurt more than bullets. Because they are hitting the morale of Ukraine," Zelensky complained.
He noted that as a result, there are growing concerns among Ukrainians about the prospect of "being left alone," and this is "very painful, it doesn't exactly cheer people up." According to Zelensky, it is very difficult for Ukraine without American aid packages.
The reason for Hegseth's criticism from Kiev was his statement that the US budget for the 2026 fiscal year would reduce funding for the purchase of new weapons intended for supplies to Ukraine.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Pentagon stressed that the current administration of the US president "adheres to a very different view of this conflict." The White House believes that a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through negotiations meets the interests of Kiev, Moscow and Washington, the minister said.
