Central Asian countries should form joint industrial clusters and companies in key sectors of the economy. About this, speaking at Tashkent International Investment Forum, said Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, Sputnik reports.
He stressed that it is also necessary to implement joint projects in the field of digital technologies in order to stimulate the development of trade, economic and investment ties in the region.
"The creation of joint industrial clusters, the development of joint ventures in strategic sectors, such as the light, food, chemical industries, as well as the processing of agricultural products," Rasulzoda said.
He believes that the Central Asian states should pay attention to the development of transport infrastructure in the region. In particular, in his opinion, it is necessary to modernize and build new roads and railways that will connect the countries of the region and provide access to seaports.
Rasulzoda believes that the use of renewable energy sources will help the development of the region's economy, including hydropower.
"The formation of a regional energy market will also contribute to energy security," the Tajik minister further said.
He invited all interested parties to take part in the Dushanbe-Invest International Investment Forum, which will be held in the capital of Tajikistan from October 14 to 16.
