In the Donetsk People's Republic, an employee of the local FSB department refused to take a bribe of 1 million rubles.
This is reported by the DAN agency, referring to the press service of the regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the DPR.
"The specified amount was intended for the termination of the operational accounting case to verify the activities of a familiar person involved — the director of one of the organizations," the department explained.
The FSB officer told the bribe giver that he needed to think about it. But in fact, he told his management about the offer. After that, operational measures began: the employee agreed to accept the money for the sake of appearance, and after their transfer, the bribe giver was detained.
The investigation of the case under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("bribery") lasted more than a year, from March 2024. Now the case has been sent to court.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in the DPR, FSB officers found another mined cache of weapons in the liberated village of Bogoyavlenka to the west of Donetsk.
