Thomas Kokosinski, an American businessman who was supposed to invest in a business in Krakow, Poland, has died. The entrepreneur was 42 years old. Details are given by the publication Gazeta.Pl .
Last week, on Wednesday, June 4, Kokosinski choked while eating at a restaurant in Krakow and was taken to the hospital. There he was connected to a ventilator, but on Tuesday, June 10, he was disconnected from the device due to irreversible changes in brain function caused by hypoxia.
"We fought as hard as we could in the last few days to win this crucial battle for his life — for which I sincerely thank all the doctors in Krakow — unfortunately we lost," wrote Jaroslaw Krulewski, a colleague of the deceased.
Kokosinski had been negotiating for several months to acquire a minority stake in the Wisła Krakow football club, stating that he would provide the company with $ 5 million in additional financing. The negotiations were already at the final stage.
"He wanted to help rebuild the club. We have experienced defeats and victories together. He was an accomplished man in business," Krulevsky summed up.
