Telegram founder Pavel Durov said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that he does not use the phone in everyday life to communicate for security reasons.
"I don't use the phone. Or rather, I haven't used my phone for almost a year. But even before (France) seized it, I didn't use my phone," he said.
According to Durov, he needs the phone to test the Telegram application due to numerous messenger updates, so there is not even a SIM card in it.
The founder of Telegram added that he uses a laptop or tablet to communicate.
Durov was detained at the Paris airport on August 24, and a few days later he was released on bail of five million euros. The businessman is suspected of ten offenses and criminal offenses, he may face up to ten years in prison. The entrepreneur was forbidden to leave France, twice a week he is obliged to report to the police.
