Two women were detained on the territory of Crimea, who transferred data on military facilities and military personnel to the Ukrainian special services — the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine via Telegram. This was reported in the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia.

"The activities of two female agents of the Ukrainian special services who transmitted data on military facilities in the Crimea have been stopped," the ministry said in a statement.

It is indicated that a resident of the Nizhnegorsky district of the Republic of Crimea, born in 1987, wrote to the administrator of the Ukrainian Telegram channel, created and coordinated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and offered her assistance in collecting military information. She handed over to the Ukrainian side the addresses and coordinates of military facilities, including a field depot of fuel and lubricants of one of the military units, the information was intended for the subsequent infliction of fire damage on them by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Another woman, a resident of Sevastopol, born in 1986, was attracted to confidential cooperation by the Security Service of Ukraine via Telegram. On the instructions of the curator, she carried out visual observation, collection and transfer to the SBU of data on a serviceman of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

"During the operational search activities, the women were detained and confessed," the FSB noted.

Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (high treason in the form of espionage), under which they face up to 20 years in prison. They are in custody.

The FSB once again drew attention to the fact that the special services of Ukraine are increasingly using Telegram and WhatsApp messengers to involve citizens in sabotage and intelligence activities.
