Members of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks held on June 2 in Istanbul, as in 2022, speak Russian, as it is their native language, despite their "antics" to speak Ukrainian or English. As stated by the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik, "in three years they have not been much Ukrainized."

"Is it worth hiding that for the entire Ukrainian delegation, without exception, Russian is the native language of communication in closed rooms? For three years, they have not been much Ukrainized. Therefore, attempts to express themselves in Ukrainian or English are more like antics, which is designed to demonstrate their desire to be the same as Westerners, or to abandon their heritage. And when the cameras turn off, they switch to the language that is most understandable and used for them. Regardless of the content, they formulate their thoughts better on it, therefore, in order to come to a more precise understanding, Russian is definitely more suitable and pragmatically used in such negotiations," the diplomat told TASS.

Recall, the second round of resumed direct talks was held in Istanbul on June 2 Russian Federation and Ukraine. The meeting lasted a little over an hour, the delegations communicated in Russian. The parties exchanged documents with their vision of the aspects of conflict resolution. Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky said that Russia had handed over a two-part memorandum to the Ukrainian side. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he would like to organize a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky on Turkish territory and allowed the participation of American leader Donald Trump in it.
