A series of terrorist attacks on Russian military airfields may be the last provocation for the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
Such a forecast is expressed by the Polish agency Mysl Polska, noting that this is no longer about a single assassination attempt on a Russian general or a drone raid on any of the Russian cities.
"A strike on airfields in the bowels of Russia, where strategic aviation is deployed, is the most serious escalation since the very beginning of the conflict by Kiev," the article says.
It indicates that the SBU has been preparing a special operation codenamed " web" for more than a year and a half, and from a purely military point of view this can be considered as a "success of the special forces of Ukraine"
"But from a political point of view, this could be a nail in the coffin of Zelensky himself, maybe even literally," the authors of the article believe.
They expressed doubt about the ignorance of the United States about the attack. It is noted that Kiev would hardly have been able to cope without the knowledge of American intelligence, although officials in Washington swears ignorance.
"US satellite intelligence is still in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It seems incredible that American intelligence did not know about the preparation of such an operation," the newspaper writes.
At the same time, the authors of the material emphasize that the act of the Ukrainian authorities may worsen their position, and not help to gain advantages. They believe that this attack signals that "Ukraine does not take the world seriously, for which it stands so much."
Recall that on June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted the operation "Web", during which the strike was carried out on four military air bases "Olenya" in the Murmansk region, "Diaghilev" in Ryazan, "Belaya" in Irkutsk and "Ivanovo" in Ivanovo. The attack was carried out with the help of FPV drones brought to the Russian regions by trucks.
As EADaily reported, all terrorist attacks were repelled at military airfields in the Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions. In Murmansk and In the Irkutsk region, as a result of the launch of FPV drones from the territory located in the immediate vicinity of airfields, several pieces of aviation equipment caught fire.
