The EU defense loan program worth 150 billion euros was approved by the ambassadors of the EU countries this week. And the arms companies of some countries are already rubbing their hands, as they are waiting for huge funds for rearmament. Details are reported Gazeta.Pl .
We are talking about the adoption of the EU SAFE regulation. This is a tool within the framework of the 150 billion euro Military Loan Fund, which is one of the elements of the European rearmament plan. Loans provided to EU countries will be issued by the European Commission and guaranteed by the EU budget.
Money from the loan fund The EU will be sent to projects submitted by at least two countries. But for the same Poland, it is important that these provisions also allow for the financing of initiatives already being implemented within the country.
Warsaw, which is already making many defense investments, will definitely benefit. The following vehicles are subject to financing — Piorun anti-aircraft missile systems, Krab howitzers, Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles and Baobab mine dispersal machines.
