The court sentenced the owner of the dogs that "ate" the child's face in Sochi. The man received a year and six months of restriction of freedom.
On February 26, 2025, dogs attacked a nine-year-old child, inflicting extensive lacerations on his face.
As reported in the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory, the convict fully admitted guilt and repented of negligence. However, according to Channel Five, the culprit stated that his huskies had not shown aggression towards children or adults before.
He could not feed the dogs, according to him, because of the bad weather - it did not allow him to get to the house where hungry animals were sitting.
The owner of the husky was found guilty under Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("causing serious harm to health by negligence"). At the moment, the animals have already been euthanized.
The man was banned for 1.5 years to leave the house from 23.00 to 06.00, as well as to leave the city of Sochi. In addition, he is prohibited from participating in mass events and changing his place of residence without notifying law enforcement officers.
