Buffett said on CNBC:
"Trade should not become a weapon! We have become an incredibly important country, starting almost from scratch. There has never been anything like this in 250 years of history. But, in my opinion, this is a big mistake — when most of the seven and a half billion people in the world don't particularly like us, and three hundred million are proud of how well we are doing. I think this is wrong and short-sighted."
According to Buffett, "the more prosperous the rest of the world becomes, and this is not at all at our expense, the more prosperous we ourselves will be, the safer we will feel, and the calmer your children will live in the future."
