Donald Trump's adviser Kevin Hassett issued a statement that "recession is out of the question" and announced "amazing proposals" for international trade deals.
Kevin Hassett, director of the US National Economic Council, confirmed that "more than 10" countries have offered the United States "very good, amazing" trade agreements after President Donald Trump imposed high import duties. This is reported by CNBC.
Already in an interview with Fox Business, Hassett said he was "100% sure" that the US would not enter a recession in 2025.
According to Hassett, Trump, U.S. Trade Representative Jamison Greer and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick are currently examining whether the trade proposals received are "good enough."
"I have not yet decided whether we should announce the agreements one at a time or all at once, in a package," he added.
Hassett also said that the heads of large American companies expressed their interest in transferring their foreign operations back to The United States, while consumers are buying foreign products out of fear that prices will rise due to future duties.
"So everything is in full swing, at least judging by what I hear in the market," he said, adding that the latest data on the US labor market is "very, very good."
