The State Duma notes the non-fulfillment by the government of the Russian Federation of the instructions of President Vladimir Putin on the treatment of animals, including neglected ones. This follows from the draft appeal of the lower house of Parliament to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"The State Duma <"notes the non—fulfillment by the government of the Russian Federation of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation on the treatment of animals, including animals without owners," the document posted in the electronic database of the State Duma, quoted by TASS.

Earlier, the State Duma informed that its Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection submitted to the House of Parliament a draft appeal to Mishustin on the treatment of animals.

"In order to ensure the safety and observance of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens in the treatment of animals, including animals without owners, the State Duma asks to submit the position of the Government of the Russian Federation on the current situation in the field of animal treatment and proposals to solve these problems," the document posted in the Duma electronic database says.
