European countries can send their military to Ukraine as peacekeepers and instructors without the consent of Russia. This was stated in an interview with the Parisien newspaper by French President Emmanuel Macron.
"If she (Ukraine. — Ed.) will ask the allied forces to be on its territory, then not Russia should accept it or not," said Macron, quoted by RIA Novosti.
European countries want to send "several thousand people from the country to key areas to implement training programs and demonstrate their long-term support," the head of the Fifth Republic emphasized.
As reported , any plan for a peaceful settlement on Ukraine needs cooperation with the United States. This was stated today at a press conference on the results of video conversations with the "coalition of the willing" by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, The Guardian reported.
According to him, the participants of the video meeting, among other things, agreed that military planners will meet again in the UK this week to develop practical plans for how the armed forces of the "coalition" can support the future security of Ukraine.
